If you want insurance that will cover the cost of repairing your car then you will need to carry comprehensive and collision insurance. Both of these will pay for repairs to your car. Unless you can afford to repair the damages yourself, it is a great idea to carry collision and comprehensive. Your premiums will be more each month but at least you know that you will be able to get your car fixed if you are involved in an accident.
